Attorney Sam Ross has had experience doing business litigation for many industries and in many different courtrooms. In his prior work with Hanson Law Group (Madison) and Arndt Buswell Thorn (Sparta), Sam worked with clients in lumber, book publishing, retail sales, transportation, and other industries. He has successfully helped clients through lawsuits in State and Federal court.
After working in information technology for several years, Sam attended UW-Madison Law School, where he participated in the Kaufman Securities Moot Court Competition, International Journal of Public Administration in the Digital Age, and the Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic. He was also a legal research assistant for Professor Yaron Nili and was the co-founder and president of the Technology Law Student Association. During law school, Sam became CIPP/US certified, and has kept up to date on privacy laws through his involvement in the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
During Law School, Sam also completed internships for attorney Sean O’Neill in La Crosse and Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Bradley.
Sam returned to working for the judiciary in 2022 as he was a Staff Attorney for the Dane County Circuit Court. He conducted legal research and wrote initial draft opinions for Judges Frank Remington, Nia Trammel, and now-Wisconsin Court of Appeals Judge Chris Taylor.
In his free time, Sam enjoys traveling with his family, hiking, cheering on the Badgers, and attending NASCAR races.
