Biography:
Milton L. Kerstein is an experienced attorney specializing in regulatory, administrative, education and employment law, as well as criminal and civil litigation. He has a national practice including appearances in both state and federal court, as well as numerous appearances before administrative tribunals in Washington, D.C.

Milt has been involved in all aspects of education law including pre-kindergarten, K-12 and higher education. He regularly works with families dealing with student discipline issues including Title IX complaints, as well as with children with special needs. It is not unusual to find Milt defending a student who is facing discipline at a private or public school or representing students at colleges and universities. Milt and his team are also very experienced with the special needs issues involving IEPs and 504 Plans. He brings a wealth of experience in securing the best outcomes possible for children and families as they navigate the educational system and is deeply familiar with the applicable laws in both Massachusetts and the United States.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Milt worked in higher education for more than a decade and served in various roles at colleges and universities throughout the United States. It was his experience working in student services and financial services that prompted Milt to pursue a career in law. Colleges and universities now turn to Milt when they are faced with complex legal and regulatory challenges.
