Louis J. Capozzi, Jr. began his legal career with the prestigious Philadelphia law firm of Fox, Rothschild, O’Brien, and Frankel. Thereafter, he became a sole practitioner and later a shareholder at the law firm of Shumaker Williams. Prior to founding Capozzi & Associates, P.C., Mr. Capozzi founded the law firm of Latsha and Capozzi, P.C., where he was a shareholder and the chairman of the Labor and Employment Law Group. He was also responsible for handling and supervising over 1000 Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement appeals. Mr. Capozzi was also employed as the Director of Healthcare Appeals at Zelenkofske Axelrod and Company, where he litigated Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement appeals. Mr. Capozzi has presented many seminars for LeadingAge PA, PACAH, PALA, PHCA, and the American Health Lawyers Association. He was also selected by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants to provide a legal update to its members at their 1994, 1996, 1997, and 1999-2003 annual meetings. Mr. Capozzi focuses his work on labor and employment, health care, regulatory compliance for healthcare providers, Medicaid/Medicare, and reimbursement issues. He is also responsible for the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements with unions, the litigation of labor arbitrations and unfair labor practices involving unions, union elections and all other labor and employment matters.

Education

Mr. Capozzi earned his law degree from Villanova Law School. Mr. Capozzi also graduated from the State University of New York at Albany Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and English.
