Kristin Hutton has also focused solely on tax law her entire legal career. Ms. Hutton has numerous years of experience representing hundreds of taxpayers before the IRS in a wide variety of cases, stretching across numerous departments and levels within the IRS. Ms. Hutton is a licensed tax attorney who can represent taxpayers before the IRS in all 50 states, including representation before the United States Tax Court, which she has done numerous times. Ms. Hutton also started her career in tax law at one of the nation’s largest tax resolution firms where she was first promoted to the Supervisor of the Legal Department, then later promoted to the Manager of the Legal Department. Through these roles, Ms. Hutton not only represented hundreds of taxpayers before the IRS, but also trained other tax attorneys and staff on how to do so, supervised a large legal team, subsequently managed the entire legal team, and also held consultations with prospective new clients to see if the firm would be able to help them and then develop a game plan on how best to do so. Similar to Mr. Hutton, Ms. Hutton slowly began to realize that her vision on how best to represent taxpayers before the IRS and operate a tax resolution firm wasn’t always aligned with that firm’s vision and she eventually decided that in order to accomplish her vision she would need to go out on her own. Hutton Tax Solutions was then established. Ms. Hutton loves owning her own tax firm as it allows her to use her vast experience in the industry to help taxpayers navigate through the IRS to ensure they receive the best possible representation and resolution to their specific situation.
