Kevin advises clients in media, advertising, intellectual property and complex business litigation matters. He is the Chair of the firm’s Media Industry Team and is recognized as one of Ohio’s leading litigators. Kevin has extensive experience representing national media clients in high profile cases, often brought by celebrities or political figures. He defends defamation and invasion of privacy cases and advocates for access to courtrooms and public records. For example, Kevin successfully obtained summary judgment awards, affirmed on appeal, for media clients in Don Blankenship v. Fox News Network, LLC, et al., 60 F.4th 744 (4th Cir. 2023); and Nicholas Sandmann v. Rolling Stone, LLC, 78 F.4th 319 (6th Cir. 2023). He was presented the 2024 Freedom to Read Foundation Roll of Honor award for his work in cases defending First Amendment rights.

Kevin also regularly represents clients in intellectual property cases, including trademark, counterfeiting, copyright, false advertising, unfair competition, trade secret, privacy and technology litigation. Kevin has successfully protected and defended some of the world’s most recognized brands in state and federal courts and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (“TTAB”). Kevin is also a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA).

Kevin is the past-Chair and a current member of the Columbus Bar Association Judicial Screening Committee and the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) Media Law Committee.
