Mr. Davis began his legal practice with one of the largest international law firms in the world, O’Melveny & Myers. During this period of his career, Mr. Davis worked with Roderick Hills, later the Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, with Simon Lorne, later General Counsel for the Securities and Exchange Commission, and along side other famous securities attorneys

Mr. Davis also worked in these years with Phillip Irwin, a legendary International Tax Law Expert famed for his photographic memory, as well as with a variety of other leading names of the legal community.

Mr. Davis also served as a Law Professor on the Faculty of Southwestern University School of Law, where he taught Securities Law with an emphasis on Corporate, Business and International Transactions.

Mr. Davis was nominated Chairman of the Externship Program for the combined Law Schools of UCLA, The University of Southern California, Southwestern University, and Loyola Law School. In this position, he was able to place with the Securities and Exchange Commission and other State Securities Commissioners, law students who work with these agencies.

As a result, Mr. Davis is well known by the SEC Staff circle, and is often referred to affectionately as the “Professor”, harking back to his days as a Law Professor.

Mr. Davis became General Counsel for Sandy Sigoloff, a leading work out Specialist, assisting him in turning around Republic Corporation and various corporations and subsidiaries.

His peers elected Mr. Davis Program Chairman for the Los Angeles County Bar Association – Business and Corporations Law Section. Mr. Davis then served as Secretary/Treasurer, as Vice Chairman, and then Mr. Davis was elected “Chairman” of this organization.

Election as Chairman of the Business and Corporations Section of this robust organization is a unique honor, since the Los Angeles County Bar Association is the largest Bar Association in the country, and along with New York, by far and away the most prestigious.
