Representative Matters
Successfully defended a claim for tens of millions of dollars brought by a Tier 2 automotive supplier against a Tier 1 supplier for misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, and tortious interference with contract. After a multi-week arbitration proceeding, obtained an award finding the Tier 1 supplier was not liable on any of the claims.
Member of trial team that obtained a $16.5 Million arbitration award for the founder of a major technology company, the largest award in an employment case in Michigan history.
Obtained a $1.5 Million summary judgment on behalf of a commercial landlord related to tenant breach of lease agreement.
Obtained an injunction ordering a Tier 2 automotive supplier to continue supplying despite a threat to cease supplying based on alleged fluctuations in raw material prices.
Successfully defended a claim for approximately $1.4 million in alleged utility charges against our co-tenant client. Obtained summary dismissal of all claims.
Obtained a temporary restraining order (TRO) requiring a former employee to honor commitments made in non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.
Negotiated a settlement between individual members of closely-held family company, where company had been effectively gridlocked due to voting provisions.
Obtained a temporary restraining order requiring an automotive supplier to relinquish tooling and raw materials, where supplier had been threatening to hold such property in an attempt to extract unwarranted payments.
