Firm Summary
Even prior to entering the field of law, I established a strong foundation of success and opportunity through various endeavors. In 1985, I graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and Technology. After gaining industry experience at General Dynamics and John’s Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, I returned to Brigham Young University to pursue a Master’s Degree in Manufacturing and Technology, which I completed in 1990.
During my time as an engineer at General Dynamics in Fort Worth, Texas, I contributed as a technical designer on the F-16 aircraft, which remains in active use by the United States Armed Forces today. At John’s Hopkins, I was involved in automating design and manufacturing fabrication processes.
In addition to my engineering roles at General Dynamics and Hopkins, I served as the Director of Engineering and Manufacturing at IBM’s Semiconductor BAT facility in Singapore. Eventually, my technical career culminated in my role as the CEO of Nano Technologies, Lpt., also based in Singapore.
Through my experiences as an engineer and business leader, I developed valuable skills in collaboration and a strong dedication to helping others achieve success through effective partnerships. My primary areas of focus now involve assisting individuals with inquiries related to business formation and operations, estate planning, and asset development and ownership. Additionally, a particular area of expertise for ELC Legal Services is tenancy in common ownership, which is a specialized practice area that offers unique circumstances in each case.
As an adventurous individual who had already achieved my goals in engineering and technology, I decided to leverage my business skills and transition into the legal field. In 2006, I earned my Juris Doctor degree from the University of Idaho and was admitted to the Idaho Bar in 2007.
Practicing law presents an exciting challenge that allows me to engage in new experiences, interact with diverse individuals, and devise solutions for complex problems. Being someone who embraces technology, I also enjoy providing clients with the flexibility of a modern experience, serving a wide range of clients across the country. Moreover, I appreciate the personal flexibility that being an attorney affords me, enabling me to select cases that truly interest me.
While I occasionally miss my engineering career, I derive great satisfaction from helping others and guiding them towards new levels of business success.
Outside of my work with clients, I lead an active lifestyle. I am an avid runner, a passionate skier, and a dedicated traveler. Although it is not my current career path, my wife and I share a deep love for SCUBA diving. As a certified Dive Master by NAUI, I have completed over 400 dives since 2000.
