He has been licensed to practice law since 1981 and is admitted to appear in all Minnesota and Missouri state courts as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.
Over the course of his many years in practice, Mr. Sommerer has represented a diverse range of clients, including doctors and dentists as well as assembly workers, construction workers, miners and more both in a union and non-union environment. Outside of practicing law, Mr. Sommerer has served as a guest lecturer on workers’ compensation law for Mitchell Hamline School of Law. He is also a member of Minnesota-based legal organizations, including the Hennepin County Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association and the Minnesota Association for Justice. In addition, he belongs to the national legal organizations such as the American Bar Association and the American Association for Justice.
