In addition to being the managing partner of Prowse Chowne LLP, Cameron enjoys a busy litigation practice including intellectual property issues, shareholder and partnership disputes, business torts, and contractual disputes. He also provides litigation avoidance consultations on business transactions. Cameron brings to his diverse client base a considerable advocacy background that spans more than four decades. He has appeared before the Court of King’s Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, Federal Court of Appeal, various regulatory and professional disciplinary tribunals, and even the Nuclear Safety Commission. Cameron is respected by clients for his honest advice, detailed legal insight, and creative and intelligent solutions.
Cameron taught the litigation portion of the bar admission course for several years and is a long-time member of the litigation section of the Canadian Bar Association. He has authored or presented papers on a variety of subjects, including patent litigation issues, shareholder and partnership disputes, and punitive damages. He has also assisted in the preparation of the partnership materials published by the Legal Education Society of Alberta. Always looking to improve his skills, Cameron became a registered patent agent and has taken courses at Harvard Law School in advanced negotiation techniques.
Cameron is an active volunteer and committee member of organizations such as the Stable Owners Association of Alberta, the Edmonton Highland Dancing Association and the Cragvore Music Society.
