Firm Summary

With more than 15 years of experience, my practice is focused on advising small businesses, start-ups, physicians, medical groups and other health care providers on a broad range of business, transactional, general corporate, licensing and regulatory matters.  My experience on behalf of my clients includes business formation and structuring, negotiating and drafting mergers and acquisition documents, professional service and consulting agreements, employment and independent contractor agreements, lease agreements, health plan agreements, shareholder and joint venture agreements, vendor agreements and policies and procedures. In addition, I have extensive experience advising health care clients on regulatory, licensing and compliance issues, and day to day business and operational issues.

A Boston native, I received my B.A. degree in Communications, cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where I was a goalie on the Women’s club ice hockey team and the Student Commencement Speaker of my graduating class.  I received my J.D. from the Loyola Law School in 2003, attending in the evening while working full time as a Health and Welfare Benefit Consultant.

After obtaining my law degree, I spent the first part of my career practicing law as part of premier health care practices at Hooper Lundy & Bookman, McDermott Will & Emery and Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, where I represented health care clients on a broad range of litigation, transactional and regulatory matters.  In 2007, I went to work for one of my clients, IPC HealthCare (formerly IPC The Hospitalist Company) where I spent six years as the Vice President of Legal Affairs overseeing all legal functions of the company including negotiating and closing more than 90 physician practice acquisitions.  Thereafter, I went to work for DaVita HealthCare Partners as Group General Counsel overseeing west coast operations.

In 2016 I returned to private practice as part of the health care and corporate departments at Crowell & Moring, LLP where I represented small businesses, managed care plans and health care providers.

I started my own practice because I felt that it provided me with the best platform to take the skills and experiences I have developed through my years in-house and in Big Law and use them to improve how I practice law and, more specifically, how I assist my clients with achieving their goals and objectives.  I am excited to be able to partner with my clients (of all sizes) to provide them with the personalized care and attention they deserve.

The same top-notch legal services without the same Big Law prices.
