Rebekah L. Shulman has been practicing law since 2008. Her practice includes general civil and business litigation matters with a concentration on intellectual property law.

Rebekah enforces and defends intellectual property rights on behalf of clients before the United States Patent & Trademark Office—from pre-application registrability search through post-registration contest. She also represents plaintiffs and defendants in trademark, copyright, patent, and trade secret litigation before state and federal courts, throughout the litigation lifecycle—from pre-suitinvestigation and discovery through post-judgment proceeding and appeal.

Rebekah advises and counsels on brand identity and protection, including clearance and infringement opinions, registration and prosecution work, and enforcement and maintenance.

She consults on general intellectual property strategy and management to help clients meet business objectives and identify risks, and to promote awareness and compliance with intellectual property related policies and industry practices.

She drafts and negotiates various IP dependent agreements, assignments, and other transactional documents, including license agreements, nondisclosure and confidentiality agreements, development agreements, and privacy agreements, servicing a variety of industries and technologies.

Prior to joining the firm, Rebekah represented the State of Tennessee in healthcare eligibility administrative hearings. She was a law clerk for the Honorable Amanda McClendon of the Second Circuit Court and the Honorable Mark Fishburn of Criminal Division VI, both in the Twentieth Judicial District, Davidson County, Tennessee.

Rebekah is registered to represent others before the USPTO in patent matters, having a technical background in the life sciences.
