Firm Summary
After I graduated from Rutgers University, I attended law school at the University of San Francisco because I always wanted to help the little guy.
Years later, as a seasoned lawyer when it comes to big and small business litigation, I have pretty much seen it all. From my early years as a clerk for a Federal Judge, an attorney at Weil Gotshal to later working at boutique law firms, I have handled all aspects of matters including breach of contracts, bankruptcy, IP protection, fashion law, corporate counseling, and real estate litigation.
During my career, I have endured my own life challenges, and I know how major setbacks can make starting or growing a business seem insurmountable.
As a lawyer, it is important for me to be able to go to my client, not just in the physical sense, but in terms of developing a relationship. I take time to ask questions, rather than have you self-diagnose your perceived issues and leave it at that.
Why?
When you are starting a business, missteps are costly. Consulting for small businesses and startups, I want to understand your business plan fully so that we can plan wisely and achieve better outcomes together. My big question to you is always, “What happens down the road if…”
When you work with me, you get someone who will honestly advocate for your best interests and think down the road for you. I have a high-level baseline of knowledge which makes for a more productive partnership.
I think globally, but act locally. I help small businesses because I believe in the necessary role business plays in keeping our communities vibrant. A Tribeca resident for over thirty years, I remain active in my community by serving on the Board of Directors for the Church Street School for Music and Art. In March 2018, I was honored for saving the school from a financial quagmire and ensuring its future in the Tribeca community.
I have built my reputation on being honorable and trustworthy. When I work with you I handle every detail myself. Why? Because in overseeing every detail, I serve not just as a business attorney but as a consultant, mentor, and guide.
