Firm Summary

Originally from the Philadelphia suburbs, Seamus received a bachelor’s degree in Business and Political Science from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland and his law degree from Vanderbilt Law School here in Nashville. While at Vanderbilt, Seamus was heavily involved in the Law School community, including serving as Editor-in-Chief of Vanderbilt’s environmental law journal and organizing the annual Moot Court competition. Seamus received several awards for leadership in the Nashville community, his clinical appellate work, and academic achievement.

In between Trinity and Vanderbilt, Seamus spent several years managing, launching, and closing down locations for a prolific coffee chain throughout the Greater Philadelphia area, all while writing and performing music.

Prior to forming Music City Law in 2019 with David Goldman, Seamus spent six years working for a civil litigation firm in Nashville where he gained extensive experience, taking leadership roles early on in his legal career in all facets of a broad variety of cases.

Like many transplants in Nashville, Seamus is excited by the city’s exponential growth but believes in preserving the character that makes Nashville so desirable to begin with. Seamus founded the non-profit Rock Block Preservation Society to help support the independent venues and businesses of Elliston Place, has previously served on the board of Historic Nashville, Inc. during its efforts to preserve Printers Alley, Music Row, and other Nashville treasures, and often serves as a legal observer to protect the rights of local protesters through the National Lawyers Guild. He is a member of the Nashville Symphony’s Crescendo Club, the Public Library’s Next Chapter Society, and sometimes looks like he lives in the Belcourt.

Seamus actually lives in Berry Hill with his affectionate pup Finn, and when he’s not at the office can be found at the dog park, a concert, binge-watching the latest prestige tv show, or scouring used record bins for treasure.
